Out-of-Field Teaching Across Specialisations
OOFTAS Collective

Teaching a subject
without the necessary
qualifications is often called
teaching 'out-of-field'
(OOF)
or
'teaching across specialisations'
(TAS).
The OOF-TAS Collective is a group of researchers from across the globe
who are interested in the issue of teaching out-of-field.
We inform researchers, schools, teacher educators, parents
and policy makers of the issues relating to out-of-field teaching.
