The 8th symposium for the OOF-TAS Collective will be held online.
The theme for the symposium is:

Online Symposium: September 13-14
This theme welcomes research and commentary relating to the management of out-of-field teaching by schools, government, universities. Given the complexity of the out-of-field phenomenon, management involves governments, school administrators and leaders, teachers, researchers and even the general public. We encourage submissions that report on research, policy and practice that can contribute to our understanding of all aspects of the phenomenon. Post-graduate students and early career researchers are welcome.
Abstracts for the symposium are welcome (see below). The details of the symposium are as follows:

Online access
Zoom will be used for the virtual meeting. Please register to get access to the zoom links with the program.
Recordings will be made of the presentations but not the discussions. The powerpoint presentations and/or the zoom recordings can be placed on the OOF-TAS website after the presentation, as requested.

Preparing for the symposium
We will use the online platform, Zoom.
It is preferred that presenters give their presentation in real-time through Zoom. If this is not possible we can play a pre-recorded presentation during the symposium.
A timetable will be established that provides ‘best times’ for the presenters.
With your permission, we would like to upload some record of your presentation of your session (recording from zoom, powerpoint only).
Presenting and participating
Everybody is welcome to attend the presentations. Please register and the zoom links will be emailed to you.
Presentations in real-time (preferred way of presenting):
This will involve a 15 presentation in Zoom where you can share your screen with others and speak to your powerpoint presentation.
Engaging in discussion and feedback: A 10-minute question and answer section will follow the presentation. Also, questions and feedback by the audience can be posed using the Chat function and verbally in Zoom.
